On Sunday afternoon, Leganes host Valencia in La Liga, as the visitors look to clinch an automatic Champions League spot.

Leganes have experienced mixed fortunes this season and are 12th place in La Liga. The minnows form has been inconsistent of late in the Spanish top-flight, as they have won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five league games.

Asier Garitano’s side looks safe from the drop, as they are currently 15 points above the bottom three. With their primary aim for the season virtually assured, the home side can now play with very little pressure and aim for a top-ten spot this season.

Leganes are unbeaten in their last three home games in La Liga, having recorded wins in their last two games. In fact, Garitano’s side has recorded victories in five of their last eight La Liga outings on home soil.

Valencia are fourth-place in La Liga, 12 points clear of fifth-place Villarreal in the race for the Champions League spots. Los Ches look to have one of the top-four spots sewn up and will now be looking to secure a top-three spot to ensure automatic qualification for the group stages of the competition.

Marcelino’s side looks to have found form at the right time, as they are unbeaten in seven La Liga games, recording six victories in the process.

A big factor in their recent good form has been the visitor’s effectiveness in front of goal, as they have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven league games.

Los Ches have been inconsistent on their travels of late. However, it seems their away form has improved of late, as Marcelino’s side have now won two of their last three games while remaining unbeaten.

Forebet predicts that Valencia’s good form will continue and that the visitors will record a victory in a high scoring game.
