Clarets and Foxes set for a stalemate

Clarets and Foxes set for a stalemate

Burnley and Leicester go head-to-head at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League, as the two teams look to secure a top-seven finish and possible European football for next season.

Burnley heads into this clash in seventh-place spot, six points above the eighth-place visitors. The Clarets have won their last four league games while remaining unbeaten in their last five top-flight outings.

Sean Dyche’s side won 2-1 at Watford last time out, which was the Clarets fourth straight Premier League game that produced over 2.5 goals.

Despite their recent good form, the team from Lancashire have won just one of their last six home games. However, that win was in their last league game on home soil against Everton, in a 2-1 win.

Burnley’s recent home games in the Premier League have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in 12 of their last 15 games at Turf Moor.

The Clarets have a poor recent record against the Foxes, having won just one of the last 12 meetings in all competitions.

Leicester City have been in decent form of late. However, the Foxes suffered a 2-1 home defeat against Newcastle last time out to end a four-game unbeaten league run for Claude Puel’s team.

The visitors have struggled for clean sheets of late in the Premier League, keeping just one clean sheet in their last eight outings in the top-flight.

Leicester City have won their last two away games in the top-flight. However, Puel’s side had failed to win in their previous five league games on their travels. The Foxes recent away games in the Premier League have been high scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last nine games.

There is little between these two teams in quality, so it is little surprise that Forebet predicts a low scoring draw.
