On Tuesday night, Inter have the chance to move into the Champions League spots in Serie A, as the Nerazzurri host Cagliari at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Inter are currently fifth-place in the Italian top-flight table. However, Luciano Spalletti’s team are just one point behind fourth-place Roma in the fight for Champions League spots this season. A win would move the home side up into third-place above Lazio as well as Roma.
Inter Milano’s recent form has hampered their challenge for a top-four spot, as they have failed to win in three Serie A games, drawing twice and losing once. Last time out in Serie A Inter Milano drew 0-0 with Atalanta.
The home side has had problems scoring goals of late, as they have failed to score in their last three Serie A games.
Spalletti’s team are unbeaten in seven home games in Serie A, having also lost just one of their last 17 league games at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Cagliari are still looking over their shoulders nervously at the relegation zone, as the visitors are just five points clear of the drop zone.
Diego Lopez’s side are in the midst of a patchy run of form. However, a 2-1 home win over Udinese last time out ended a three-game losing run for the visitors in Serie A.
Cagliari’s games have offered good entertainment value of late when it comes to goals, as there have been over 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last eight games in Serie A.
The visitor’s recent away record in Serie A is poor, as they have won just one of their last six games on their travels while losing three of their last four games on the road in Serie A.
Inter Milano’s recent form has not been great. However, Forebet predicts that the Nerazzurri will have enough to see off the visitors in a high scoring encounter.
