Leeds to get back to winning ways in the Championship

On Tuesday night, Championship leaders Leeds United host struggling Preston North End at Elland Road, as the Yorkshire side look to get back to winning ways.

Leeds are unbeaten in their seven league games so far, having recorded four wins and three draws in the second tier. The Whites have drawn their last two league games against Middlesbrough and Millwall last time out in the Championship.

The home side has been relatively prolific of late in the second tier, scoring at least two goals in six of their last eight league outings.

The side from Yorkshire have a very strong recent home record in the second tier, as they are unbeaten in seven league outings at Elland Road, recording five victories in the process. The Whites have also been prolific on home soil in the league of late, scoring at least two goals in their last seven outings.

Preston have made a disastrous start to their Championship campaign, having picked up just five points from their opening seven league games. Their poor recent league form means North End are 23rd place in the table.

The side from the north west has failed to win in six league games, picking up two draws and suffering four defeats in the process. In fact, North End have failed to win in the league since the opening game of the season.

Preston have lost all three of their away games in the Championship this season, having also failed to score in all their league matches on their travels. North End’s recent away games in the league have been low scoring with under 2.5 goals scored in five of their last six outings, including their last four away matches.

Forebet predicts that Leeds will get back to winning ways with a victory in a low scoring encounter to maintain their position at the top of the table.
