On Wednesday night, struggling Burnley host Liverpool at Turf Moor in the Premier League, as the visitors attempt to keep the pressure on leaders Manchester City at the top of the table.

Burnley have been in woeful form of late, as the Clarets have now failed to win in seven Premier League games while losing five of their last six outings in the English top-flight.

Last time out, Sean Dyche’s team suffered a 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace. The defeat means that the Clarets have now conceded at least two goals in five of their last six matches in the top-flight.

Turf Moor was once a fortress for Burnley in the Premier League. However, the team from Lancashire have now won just one of their last nine home games in the league, while suffering six defeats in the process.

The Clarets recent home games in the Premier League have been relatively high scoring, with over 2.5 goals scored in five of their last seven outings at Turf Moor.

Liverpool head into this game on the back of a narrow 1-0 Merseyside derby win over Everton at Anfield. The win kept the Reds just two points behind league leaders and reigning champions Manchester City.

Rather unusually for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, their recent games have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four league matches. The fact that the visitors have kept three straight clean sheets in the top-flight has contributed to those low-scoring games.

The visitors are unbeaten in seven away games in the Premier League, having recorded five wins in the process. The Reds recent league games on their travels have been low scoring, with under 2.5 goals scored in three of their last four matches.

Forebet predicts that Liverpool will keep pace with Manchester City by recording a victory in a high scoring clash.
