Let’s take a look at the win probability and the football predictions for Real Madrid taking on Las Palmas as the serial winners of La Liga aim to get to the summit of the Spanish top flight once more with a one-point gap on Girona.

As Girona do not play until Sunday, Real have a chance to move into first place and put some serious pressure on Europe’s surprise package this season.

In fact, with an inferior goals difference tally due to their sensational 13 goals let in on the defensive front, Real are heading into this game knowing they need just one point to secure top spot before Girona's game 28 hours later.

It has, however, been a strange past week for Real after their stunning Supercopa de Espana win that saw Vinicius Junior grab himself a hat-trick alongside a finish from Rodrygo.

Real would go on to lose to city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey round of 16 soon after, as Joselu scored a goal to take the match to extra time where Atletico scored twice in a 4-2 win.

The favourites to win La Liga so needed until the 98th minute to defeat the winless Almeria at home, as a scare was turned around in the second half thanks to a penalty from Jude Bellingham, another Vinicius Junior goal and a winner from Dani Carvajal.

Nevertheless, they are flying high in the Champions League with a spot in the last 16 after avoiding a loss in all of those games, including a victory over the Serie A champions Napoli.

They have also won 16 games, which is the same as the league leaders Girona and three more than their rivals Barcelona.

As alluded to, Real have also already got a win in the Supercopa de Espana this season by beating Atletico in the semi-finals 5-3 and Barcelona in the final 4-1, to tally a record of nine goals in two games.

Las Palmas, as was not their probability at the start of the season in La Liga, are sitting high up in eighth in what is turning out to be one of their best seasons in a long time.

The club have a gap of only four points on Real Sociedad in the Europa Conference League spot of sixth and have secured nine wins so far with a fantastic defensive tally of 17 let in - only Real have a better record so far.

Forebet predicts a win for Real and over 2.5 goals.
