Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest do battle in the Premier League this weekend and Forebet has taken another deep dive into this relegation battle to see the latest data, analysis, football predictions and probability of winning in this game.
The Blades are already down and out in the Premier League after what is arguably the worst performance from any side in the competition’s history.
Indeed, the Derby County team of 2007/08 lost more games and won fewer and also had fewer points on the board too, but this Sheffield United team have been horrendous in their own way.
The club have now let in 97 goals this season, which is a Premier League record and already nine more than what Derby conceded back in 2007/08.
In fact, three more goals would break the 100-goal margin, meaning Chris Wilder's men would be the first team to do so after Yeovil Town.
Sheffield United also let in five goals once again last weekend to break another record to become a team that has let in five or more goals on eight different occasions across a Premier League season.
Worse yet, with the Blades also letting in eight against Newcastle United at home and 5-1 last weekend, they have broken another record to become the team that has let in the most goals against the same opposition within the same campaign.
This 5-1 hammering from the Magpies confirmed Sheffield United’s drop into the Championship in what is the first time of asking, but in reality, relegation has been all but confirmed for a number of months it seems.
It was also the fourth defeat in a row for Sheffield United after a 2-0 loss to fellow strugglers Brentford, while they even lost 4-1 at home to the side just above them, Burnley.
A further loss away to Manchester United came, despite scoring twice and taking the lead on two occasions.
As for Nottingham Forest, this feels like their biggest game of the season. It is probably the best time to play against Sheffield United, given how they are now relegated, but the Blades may also want to one-up a fellow relegation rival.
Forest are only above the bottom three by one point with them set to get right back in the drop zone if they lose points in this game and Luton Town win.
In fact, they could end the weekend as low as 19th, should they lose and Burnley win and Luton win too.
Forebet predicts a draw here and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
