As we approach the half of the sesason, fantasy football managers are gearing up to lock in their squads, aiming for the maximum points haul.

This week will be crucial for managers as many of them seek ranking up and there is a high probability to play their wildcard.

Goalkeepers

Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham) has a high potential for a clean sheet against Crystal Palace. His agility could prove crucial for Spurs’s defence.

Meanwhile, Alphonse Areola (West Ham) is set to stand tall for  in a challenging duel with Everton as he is the best budget pick. Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa) , faces Luton and seems like a likely candidate for a shutout. Nick Pope (Newcastle) is one of the premium options to consider this week.

Defender

Newcastle's Kieran Trippier is more than just a defensive asset; his crossing ability offers an enticing prospect of attacking returns against Wolves. Backline stronghold consists of William Saliba (Arsenal) and Ben White (Arsenal) , both of whom could be vital in keeping Sheffield United at bay.

Matty Cash (Aston Villa) is another dual-threat, defending diligently and surging forward against Luton. And over at Anfield, Konstantinos Tsimikas (Liverpool) is likely to display his attacking flair, complementing his team potent offensive against Nottingham Forest.

Midfielders

Fantasy managers might find it hard to stretch the budget for Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) . The Egyptian king continues to deliver points and is an essential for every team. Jarrod Bowen (West Ham)  and Son Heung-min (Tottenham) join the trio of most points from midfielders this season and are on hot form.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)  will be looking to harness his goal-scoring prowess against Luton and joins the Citizens duo for the armband this gameweek, while Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) aims to shine against Burnley.
