Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 18 – Best Players, Fixtures and More
2512

As Fantasy Premier League managers set their teams for the first blank Gameweek 18, careful consideration of player selections could be the difference between a successful week and a disappointing one.

Here's a look at some key players who could impact your FPL team's performance.

Goalkeepers

In the goalkeeping department, Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa) could be a solid choice against Sheffield United, offering the potential for clean sheets.  Bernd Leno (Fulham) , facing Burnley, also stands a good chance for defensive points.

Guglielmo Vicario(Tottenham) and Martin Dubravka (Newcastle) are facing Everton and Luton Town respectively, with both fixtures offering reasonable chances for clean sheets, particularly for Dubravka given Newcastle's recent defensive form.

Defenders

Defensive options this week include Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) if fit and Diego Carlos (Aston Villa),  both of whom have favorable matchups and could contribute both defensively and offensively.

Levi Colwill (Chelsea) is nailed on Poch’s defensive line while Dan Burn (Newcastle) came back from an injury in style, registering double-digit haul. Pedro Porro (Tottenham) could be particularly valuable given his attacking prowess fixture against Everton.

Midfielders

In midfield, Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) remains a top pick, despite blanking in the last round even in a challenging match against Arsenal, due to his consistent ability to score and assist.

Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) and Cole Palmer (Chelsea) could provide value in their respective fixtures. Son Heung-min (Tottenham) and Richarlison (Tottenham) will have the task to solve the equation of Everton’s defensive line which has improved significantly in the last fixtures. Mohammed Kudus (West Ham) is the best differential pick as United’s defence still shows some vulnerability.

Forwards

This may be the only week that Erling Haaland is not included in this list as City blank due to their Club World Cup appearance. Upfront, Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) could be a strong choice against Sheffield United and is considered as the main capitancy pick.

Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) and Dominick Solanke (Bournemouth) , facing Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest respectively, have the potential to score. Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace), playing against Brighton, could also be a smart choice, especially as a differential forward after Edouard’s injury.

FPL managers should focus on balancing their teams with a mix of steady performers and potential surprise packages to maximize their points haul this week. Good luck to all managers in navigating this exciting gameweek!
