Bundesliga title rivals Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are separated by just a single point as they prepare to face off at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday.

Bayern find themselves atop the Bundesliga table on 31 points. The defending champions are on course to clinch a tenth straight crown.

Meanwhile, Dortmund sit second on 30 points. The pretenders to the throne are aiming to end Bayern’s dominance and secure their first title since 2012.

Dortmund have yet to record a single draw this season, registering ten wins and three draws from their opening 13 matches.

Marco Rose’s men have won six of their previous seven Bundesliga games, suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat to RB Leipzig in that time.

BVB came from behind to secure an impressive 3-1 victory over Wolfsburg last weekend. Although they were away from home, they dominated possession and created tons of chances.

Erling Haaland came off the bench to score on his return from injury against the Wolves. He has missed six of Dortmund’s 13 league matches this term.

Still, the Norwegian striker has bagged 14 goals in 11 games across all competitions this season. It goes without saying that he will be eager to enhance his tally against Bayern.

Bayern have also picked up ten wins this term. However, they have only suffered two losses – sealing a draw on the opening weekend of the campaign.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Augsburg a fortnight ago before returning to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory over Arminia Bielefeld last weekend.

As a result, the Bavarians have won five of their last six Bundesliga outings – and ten of their previous 12.

Bayern have netted a mammoth 42 goals in 13 league games this season, meaning they average 3.2 goals per game.

Nagelsmann’s men also boast the joint-best defensive record in the German top flight, having conceded just 13 goals.

Head-to-head: It’s fair to say that Dortmund do not have a pretty record against Bayern. In fact, the Bavarians have claimed six straight wins over BVB across all competitions.

Dortmund have only managed to win two of their previous 13 meetings with Bayern, suffering ten defeats along the way.

Team news: Dortmund could be without as many as eight first-team players this weekend, including the injured quartet of Gio Reyna, Raphael Guerreiro, Thorgan Hazard and Jude Bellingham.

Bayern also have a number of injury concerns at the moment, with Joshua Kimmich, Marcel Sabitzer and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting doubts for Saturday’s clash.

Although Dortmund have so far kept pace with Bayern in the title race, the Bavarians are expected to flex their muscles this weekend.

Forebet predicts that Bayern will claim a high-scoring victory over Dortmund on Saturday, netting over 2.5 goals.
