On Tuesday night, PSG and Maccabi Haifa clash at the Parc des Princes in Group H of the Champions League, with the French outfit looking to seal their place in the competition's knockout stages.

PSG

The French giants were expected to dominate Group H, but it hasn’t all been plain sailing for Christophe Galtier’s team. The team from the French capital have picked up 8 points from their four group games, recording two wins and picking up two draws too.

Their points tally has been enough to take PSG to the top of the group, but the Parisians are level on points with second-place Benfica.

Avoiding defeat in this clash would see PSG book their place in the last 16 of the competition. PSG’s last two games in the Champions League have produced 1-1 draws with Benfica.

PSG have a strong recent home record in this competition, as the home team is unbeaten in six home games, recording five victories in the run.

Maccabi Haifa

The visitors were expected to be the whipping boys of Group H, and that has been true for much of the campaign.

However, last time out in Europe, Maccabi recorded a historic 2-0 home win over Juventus, who the Israeli team are now level on points with in the standings. Maccabi had lost their opening three group games before the victory over the Bianconeri.

They have also won just one of their last 12 away games in the Champions League, having suffered nine defeats in the run.

The visitors currently occupy third place, which would see them drop down into the Europa League if they can continue to stay ahead of Juventus in the standings.
