Third from bottom will meet third from top in Serie A this weekend as Hellas Verona down in the relegation spots take on a Lazio side looking to return to the win column after a tough pill to swallow in midweek.
Lazio are coming into this game off the back of losing 1-0 to Juventus in the Coppa Italia. Gleison Bremer scored the game's only goal that day, with the Old Lady beating Maurizio Sarri's men off the back of only three shots on target for the Rome outfit.
Lazio are in arguably the best spot they've been in all season long, however, with them now third in the table after Juventus' drop down the league table because of their points deduction.
On the other hand, Sarri's side sit with a gap of 15 points to make up on Napoli in first, and a title race is almost certainly not on the table for Sarri.
The Italian does see his men just two points behind Inter Milan in the table, however, and a win here could rocket them into second given how Inter faces off with AC Milan in a crucial Serie A battle as well.
Lazio beat Milan two weeks ago in a 4-0 demolition at the Stadio Olimpico. Segej Milinkovic-Savic scored after four minutes that day, as Mattia Zaccagni scored in the first half too.
Luis Alberto netted from the penalty spot as well, while Felipe Anderson scored in the 75th minute to secure arguably Lazio's best win of the season.
Hellas Verona have been sensational by their own standards in Serie A since their return to action after the World Cup.
They did end up drawing in their first game against Torino after the finals in Qatar, before beating Cremonese 2-0 in what was their best win of the season. Verona lost 1-0 to Inter not long after, however, but this is their only loss in the league since action resumed in Italy.
Verona matched the win over Cremonese with a 2-0 win over Lecce two weeks ago, as Darko Lazovic scored another goal just two weeks on from scoring twice in the win over Cremonese. Fabio Depaoli also scored that day as well.
The club went on to draw 1-1 with Udinese in the last game, but this promising run does leave them within only five of Spezia now.
