Sporting Lisbon are aiming to keep up their excellent start to another Primeria Liga season when they meet with Rio Ave at the José Alvalade Stadium as the 2020/21 champions aim to get back into first place.
So far, it's been an unbeaten start for life in the Portuguese's top flight for Sporting, as they now head into this game with 10 goals scored and four conceded with only points dropped in one draw so far.
Last time out, Sporting met with Moreirense and managed to ease to a 3-0 win that day with another finish from former Coventry City man, Viktor Gyokeres.
Mortem Hjulmand also bagged that day before a goal in the 96th minute from Ousmane Diomande.
What's more, the club had an impressive 10 shots on target that day from 20 efforts.
Sporting would draw with Braga before this in what was their first and only set of dropped points this season, as Pedro Goncalves netted in the first half to give his side the lead before a late equaliser from Braga.
Paulinho has also got off the mark this season with a finish in the 1-0 win over Famalicao where Sporting once again created an array of chances with eight shots on target from a total of 14 efforts.
Casa Pia have also fallen to another loss at the hands of goals from Paulinho, as he scored twice in a win away to them back in mid-August, as a brace from Gyokeres on his Primeria Liga debut forced a 3-2 win over Vizela.
Although, once again, it was Paulinho who managed to get the winning goal with a finish in the 99th minute.
As for Rio Ave, it's been another poor start to the season for them with the club sitting on a four-game winless run since their opening day victory over Chaves at home that saw Leonardo Acevedo score before a goal from Ze Manuel in the 98th minute.
However, despite a win in the first league game of the season, Rio Ave lost in the Taca da Liga second round in a 2-0 loss away to Arouca after beating Academico de Viseu 3-0 in the first round before that.
Since then, Rio Ave have gone on to lose to Estoril Praia 2-0 before losing at home to Porto in a 2-1 defeat. The club have also managed to draw 1-1 with Casa Pia and Famalicao.
Forebet predicts a win for Sporting and under 2.5 goals.
