La Liga strugglers Granada will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak when they entertain Real Betis at Los Carmenes on Thursday evening.

With six matches in the books, Granada find themselves second from bottom in the table, having recorded one win and five defeats so far.

Meanwhile, inconsistent Real Betis occupy 10th place in the standings – five points clear of Granada – after recording two wins, two draws and two losses.

Granada head into Thursday’s showdown on the back of a 1-0 defeat to 10-man Las Palmas, who had a player sent off on 58 minutes before scoring a 92nd-minute winner.

As a result, the hosts are currently enduring a three-match losing run, following a 5-3 thrashing at the hands of Real Sociedad and a 4-2 defeat against Girona.

Having conceded 17 goals in six league outings this season (2.7 goals per game), Granada possess the second-worst defensive record in La Liga.

Consequently, only bottom club Almeria have conceded more goals than Granada this term, while Almeria is also the only team to have picked up fewer points.

Real Betis, on the other hand, were held to a 1-1 draw by Cadiz last time out, despite racking up 64% possession and 21 shots while limiting their visitors to solitary attempt on target.

When you look at the bigger picture, Betis have failed to win any of their last three matches across all competitions, with one victory coming in their previous six outings.

Following a goalless draw with Atletico Madrid, Betis suffered a 4-2 defeat against Athletic Bilbao before defeating Rayo Vallecano 1-0.

However, they swiftly returned to losing ways, enduring a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Barcelona before losing 1-0 to Rangers in the Europa League.

Head-to-head: Real Betis have won each of their last three La Liga matches against Granada, scoring exactly two goals on each occasion.

Across all competitions, Granada have managed to win just three of their previous 11 meetings with Real Betis, with their last victory coming back in 2020.

Team news: The hosts will be without injured defender Jesus Vallejo (thigh) for the foreseeable future, while Miguel Rubio is a doubt for Thursday.

As for the visitors, Nabil Fekir (knee), Rui Silva (groin) and Youssouf Sabaly (muscle) all look set to miss the midweek trip due to injury.

When you couple Granada’s poor form with their unfavourable record against Real Betis, all the signs point towards an away victory on Thursday.

Forebet predicts that Granada and Betis will combine for over 4.5 goal, with the visitors outscoring the hosts on this occasion.
