Paris Saint-Germain may have wrapped up another Ligue 1 title last weekend, but there is still plenty to play for at both ends of the table.

On Saturday afternoon, second-placed Monaco will aim to get back on track when bottom club Clermont Foot visit the Stade Louis II.

Forebet’s mathematics-based football predictions have got you covered. Read on to discover what our predictive analytics model forecasts for Saturday’s showdown.

Monaco’s eight-game unbeaten streak came to end as they suffered a 3-2 loss against Lyon last time out, despite Wissam Ben Yedder’s brace.

Adi Hutter’s side racked up four consecutive wins before last weekend’s defeat, in addition to three successive clean sheets, but their hot streak was ended by OL.

Monaco have enjoyed plenty of success at the Stade Louis II this season, registering eight wins and seven clean sheets across their 15 home league games.

Having lost just one of their last nine Ligue 1 matches, the Monegasques shouldn’t struggle to pick up another positive result against the league’s bottom club.

With three matches remaining, Clermont Foot find themselves four points from safety, having won only five of their 31 encounters this season.

That said, Clermont can take confidence from last weekend’s result, as they thrashed Reims 4-1 thanks to braces from Muhammed Cham and Elbasan Rashani.

Clermont have struggled on their travels of late, failing to win any of their last six away outings while firing four blanks in the process.

When you look at the bigger picture, Clermont Foot have recorded two wins, five draws and eight defeats in 15 away league games this term.

Head-to-head: Clermont have failed to defeat Monaco since gaining promotion in 2021, losing four of their five meetings with the Monegasques.

Following a 4-2 victory in the reverse fixture back in August, Monaco have scored over 2.5 goals in three of their previous four victories over Clermont.

Team news: Monaco are currently without Aleksandr Golovin and Ismail Jakobs due to injury, while Eliesse Ben Seghir is suspended.

Cheick Oumar Konte, Stan Berkani and Elbasan Rashani are absent for Clermont. On top of that, Jim Allevinah and Maxime Gonalons are doubts for Saturday.

When you couple Clermont’s current league position with their poor recent record against Monaco, all the signs point towards a home win this weekend.

Forebet predicts that Monaco will keep a clean sheet on their way to claiming all three points, piling more pressure on relegation-threatened Clermont.
