Brentford aiming for fifth straight PL match without a defeat
5229

Despite being just seven points above the Premier League relegation zone, Brentford will begin the weekend on a four-match unbeaten streak.

Will our score prediction back the Bees to defeat Luton away from home in a relegation six-pointer on matchday 34?

Luton Town are chasing Brentford in the race for Premier League safety. Rob Edwards’ team will begin the weekend in 18th place, one point off safety.

A win over Brentford and results going their way elsewhere would send Luton Town out of the bottom three.

A loss to the Hatters would draw Brentford deeper into the relegation battle. Both teams have everything to gain and everything to lose on Saturday at Kenilworth Road.

Brentford won 3-1 at the GTech Stadium earlier this season thanks to goals from Neal Maupay, Ben Mee, and Shandon Baptiste. Maupay and Mee scored just after halftime to give Brentford a 2-0 lead.

Luton’s Jacob Brown pulled a goal back on 76 minutes, but Brentford’s Baptiste put the game to bed in the 82nd minute with a third goal.

The Hatters took just four points from their last six matches in the Premier League. They are coming off a 5-1 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Luton’s defence has been picked apart by opposing teams this season, conceding 70 goals.

Luton also have the sixth-worst attack, scoring 46 times. However, Brentford’s attack hasn’t been much better. Brentford have scored just 47 times this season.

Part of the issue for Brentford’s lack of goals was the suspension of Ivan Toney in the first half of the season. Toney is still trying to find his feet in front of goal since returning.

The Bees took six points from the last six games. They will go into the match unbeaten in four straight fixtures, drawing three times and winning once.

The Bees claimed an important win in a Premier league relegation six-pointer last weekend against Sheffield United.

It was a difficult game for the Bees, as they needed a 63rd-minute on goal and a 93rd-minute striker to win 2-0 at home.

Aaron Hickey and Mee will miss the match for Thomas Frank. Both defenders are nursing injuries.

Kristoffer Ajer and Christian Norgaard could both return to the squad. However, both will be decided on in the lead up to the match.

Edwards will be without Brown due to a knee injury. Striker Elijah Adebayo is out with a thigh problem.

Edwards is hopeful that midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga will be fit. In total, Edwards could be without 12 first-team players.

Brentford have struggled on the road, failing to win their last five matches away from the GTech Stadium. Our score prediction still backs the Bees to get a point in this relegation six-pointer. Luton Town and Brentford should draw 2-2, with the clubs sharing the points.
