AC Milan are aiming to finish second in Serie A this season. A third straight win over Genoa in Serie A would be a positive step in Milan’s attempt to finish runner-up to champions Inter.

Will our algorithm foresee an AC Milan win over Genoa?

Genoa will start the weekend 12 in Serie A. The Grifone achieved safety ahead of the weekend thanks to securing 42 points from 34 games.

It has been a good season for Genoa after coming up from Serie B last term.

Milan will go into the weekend winless in their last two matches. They took two points from the last nine on offer.

A 3-3 draw with Sassuolo was followed by a 2-1 loss to Inter in the derby. Last weekend, AC Milan drew nil-nil with Juventus.

Genoa are fresh off a 3-0 win over Cagliari. The Grifone are unbeaten in their last six matches in the league. They are in fine form and are targeting a big scalp against AC Milan.

AC Milan defeated Genoa 1-0 at the Stadio Luigi Ferarris earlier this season. An 87th minute Christian Pulisic goal gave Milan the win in a controversy-filled game. Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan was sent off in the 97th minute.

Albert Gudmundsson leads Genoa in goals with 14. Gudmundsson has scored 37% of Genoa’s goals this season.

The Grifone are not prolific in front of goal. They’ve scored just 38 goals in 38 matches.

Meanwhile, the defence has allowed 40 goals. Genoa have only won four matches on the road this season.

Thirty-five of Milan’s 70 points have come at home. They have taken the same number of points home and away. The Rossoneri have a goal difference of +17 at home.

Olivier Giroud, who is likely to leave in the offseason, leads Milan in scoring with 13 goals.

Pulisic, the scorer of the winner in the reverse fixture, has 10 goals in Serie A. The American has had a strong first season with Milan.

Davide Calabria and Yunus Musah will both miss the match for Milan due to red-card suspension.

Stefano Pioli will hope to finish the season on a strong note. Pioli is expected to be sacked at the end of the season.

Genoa are safe for a second consecutive season of Serie A play. The Grifone’s safety status should see them take their foot off the accelerator.

Our algorithm predicts a score of 1-0 to AC Milan. It will be the Rossoneri’s second straight 1-0 win over Genoa.
