Freiburg and RB Leipzig will meet in Bundesliga action this Tuesday night with the two also set to clash in the league on the weekend with both sides separated by just one place in the league table ahead of this DFB-Pokal semi-finals battle.

Freiburg have been sensational in the past month and have only dropped points in a 1-0 home loss to Bayern Munich.

However, just days before that, Freiburg stunned the league leaders in the DFB-Pokal with an equalising goal from Nicolas Hofier before a 95th-minute penalty winner from Lucas Holer.

Freiburg also went on to defeat Werder Bremen in the league not long after the loss to Bayern in the league, and they followed this up with a 4-0 hammering over Schalke after a double from Michael Gregoritsch and another finish each from Holer and Matthias Ginter.

Last weekend, the club made it three in a row after a goal from Ritsu Doan in the second half of an away win at Koln.

It keeps Freiburg in fourth and well within a chance of finishing in the Champions League spots after achieving a Europa League campaign last season.

Ahead of the game, they also sit above RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga table by two points and head into this clash with two fewer losses than them and 16 wins each in the league.

The previous time these two met this season saw Leipzig run out 3-1 winners at home after two quickfire goals from Mohamed Simakan and Christopher Nkunku. Emil Forsberg netted a penalty later on in the 3-1 win, as Lukas Kubler also scored for Freiburg.

Elsewhere for Leipzig, they returned to the win column with a 1-0 win over Hoffenheim last time out, as Nkunku netted another goal. Leipzig lost to Bayer Leverkusen just before last weekend's win and it keeps them in fifth with the German giants still six clear of Leverkusen in the race for a top five finish.

Marco Rose's side defeated his old team Borussia Dortmund in this competition last time out, as Timo Werner scored a first half goal before a finish late on from Will Orban.

A victory here for either side sets up a final match with either Stuttgart or Eintracht Frankfurt which will take place at the start of June.

Forebet predicts a draw here between Leipzig and Freiburg and for the game to see under 2.5 goals in 90 minutes.
