Flamengo to Keep Their Libertadores Dream Alive With a Draw Against Racing Club

Matchday five of the Copa Libertadores takes place this week where Flamengo of Brazil will take on Racing Club of Argentina at the Maracana with the Brazilian Serie A side five points adrift of their opposition here.
It’s been a tough season for Flamengo in the Libertadores. Ahead of this one, they are sitting five points behind Racing Club in first place although they are also coming into the game ahead of Nublense in third by one point too.
This comes after winning just one game, losing one and drawing two.
These two sides did also draw in the first meeting back on matchday three, as Gabriel Barbosa scored late on in the second half before Nicolas Oroz netted in the second 45.
Wesley Franca was sent off in the second half of the game too for Flamengo, as Gabriel Hauche was also sent off for Racing Club.

As for Racing Club, they defeated Banfield in their last outing in Argentina to take them onto a three-game unbeaten run since a beating from Platense this time last month.
In this spell, they've also beaten Aucas in the Libertadores and drew 1-1 with Defensa y Justicia.
In fact, with a loss to Talleres Cordoba in May and defeats to Atletico Tucuaman and Boca Juniors in April, it means just two wins in the past eight games.
This run keeps Racing Club down in 17th with 27 goals conceded and just six wins from 18 games.
