Coppa Italia action is back this Tuesday with Bologna welcoming Hellas Verona to the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium with both sides failing to win their Serie A games over the past weekend.

Bologna have had a great start to the season, just as they did at the beginning of the 2022/23 season.

However, they did draw 1-1 with Sassuolo last time out where Joshua Zirkzee scored after three minutes before conceding late on.

They did manage to beat Frosinone before this where Lewis Ferguson carried on with his excellent form by scoring after 19 minutes before Lorenzo De Silvestri scored two minutes later.

The recent run of form does keep Bologna in seventh, but they have still only managed to win three games this season from 10 matches - this is the lowest number of victories inside the top 10 right now.

On the other hand, the club have managed to draw six times, meaning they have lost only one game so far.

After these 10 games, Bologna have scored 11 goals and let in only eight. The only defeat Bologna have experienced this season was in a 2-0 loss to AC Milan back on the first day of the season.

Back in the Coppa Italia, the club defeated Cesena 2-0 with a goal each from Tommaso Corazza and a finish late on from Joshua Zirkzee once again.

As for Verona, it's been a rough time for them in Serie A so far with them losing their past three games in a row, as Frosinone, Napoli and Juventus eased to wins over them.

Verona are now sitting down in 16th as a result, but they have still only managed to win one less game than Bologna with two on the board.

One of those wins was over Roma, as Ondrej Duda scored in the first four minutes of the game before Cyril Ngonge scored late on in the first half. Isak Hien was sent off that day.

Empoli were the other side to fall to a defeat Verona, as Federico Bonazzoli scored late on in the second half to secure all three points in an away win.

Verona beat Ascoli in their first round Coppa Italia match, as they took the lead after just two minutes from Jordi Mboula. Pawel Dawidowicz would score in stoppage time of the first half, as Milan Duric netted a penalty in the second 45.

Forebet predicts a win here for Bologna and for the game to see under 2.5 goals.
