Villa Looking for 13 Unbeaten in a Row at Home When Fulham Arrive at Villa Park
Aston Villa vs Fulham - 12/11/2023
3754
The in-form Aston Villa will play hosts to Fulham at Villa Park this weekend with the Cottagers struggling in the early parts of this Premier League season after a lot of hope coming in from the back of the last campaign.
Fulham are clearly missing the services of arguably their greatest-ever striker, Alexsandar Mitrovic, as the club have now scored only nine goals in the 11 games so far - only Burnley in the relegation zone have scored fewer.
Worse yet, Fulham have also let in 17 goals too.
The Cottagers head into this one off the back of just one win in the past five Premier League games. This has seen them lose in a west London derby to Chelsea, while also grabbing an impressive point away to Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX.
Tottenham Hotspur would also beat them, while Manchester United did the same at Craven Cottage.
Fulham’s only victory was against Sheffield United during this period, as Bobby De Cordova-Reid scored in the second half before Willian netted in the dying embers of the game alongside an own goal.
This was, however, just the third win of the season for the club, losing five other games and drawing the other three.
Fulham do also have an EFL Cup quarter-final battle with Everton to look forward to, as the club defeated the in-form Championship side, Ipswich Town, two weeks ago in the round of 16.
Villa, however, are in much better form and kept this excellent run of form under Unai Emery up when they defeated AZ Alkmaar 2-1 during the week in a comeback win.
Diego Carlos got them back into the game before Ollie Watkins scored the winner late on in the game in what is turning out to be another incredible season for him.
Villa are heading into this game in fifth in the table after seven wins from 11 games and three losses only.
They are, however, the third-highest scorers in the Premier League in 2023/24, having now netted an excellent 26 goals but they have also conceded 16 times too.
For Fulham on the injury front, Oluwatosin Adarabioyo, Issa Diop, Adama Traore and Kenny Tete will all miss out here through injuries, while Rodrigo Muniz is also out with an injury until around February. For Villa, Emiliano Buendia and Tyrone Mings are out of the season for Villa, while Jacob Ramsey will be back after the international break.
Forebet predicts a win for Villa and over 2.5 goals.
