The top two sides in Serie A will lock horns at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday as second-placed Juventus host table-topping Inter Milan.

With 12 matches in the books, Inter sit just two points above Juventus, who find themselves six points clear of third-placed AC Milan.

Not only have Juventus and Inter each suffered a solitary league defeat this season, but they also boast the best defensive records by a considerable margin.

Max Allegri’s side head into Sunday’s showdown on a five-game winning streak, having dispatched Torino, Milan, Verona, Fiorentina and Cagliari.

Juventus have also avoided defeat in each of their last seven league outings, picking up six wins and six clean sheets in the process.

Although Juve are the lowest scorers in the top seven, they possess the second-best defensive record, having conceded just seven goals in 12 games.

With only three defeats coming in their last 25 Serie A encounters, Allegri’s men will be confident of picking up a positive result this weekend.

Inter, meanwhile, chalked up a six-game winning streak prior to the international break, securing four Serie A victories and two Champions League triumphs.

Across all competitions, Inter Milan have won eight and drawn one of their previous nine matches, keeping six clean sheets for good measure.

Believe it or not, Inter Milan boast a better defensive record than Juventus, having conceded one goal fewer than the Old Lady this season.

It is also worth noting that Inter have lost just three of their last 22 Serie A clashes, with six successive away victories coming during that period.

Head-to-head: Juventus did the double over Inter Milan last season, claiming a 2-0 home victory before snatching a 1-0 away win.

On top of that, Juventus have avoided defeat in 11 of their previous 13 league meetings with Inter, notching eight victories since 2017.

Team news: Nicolo Fagioli, Paul Pogba, Fabio Miretti, Manuel Locatelli, Timothy Weah, Danilo, Alex Sandro and Mattia De Sciglio are all unavailable for Juventus.

On the flip side, Inter’s injury list features Alessandro Bastoni and Benjamin Pavard, while Marko Arnautovic, Hakan Calhanoglou and Juan Cuadrado are doubts.

With the Derby d’Italia bragging rights on the line, Juventus and Inter will both be desperate to claim all three points on Sunday.

Forebet predicts that Inter Milan will secure the victory this time around, with the visitors expected to score over 1.5 goals while keeping a clean sheet.
