Juventus will be looking to keep the pressure on Inter Milan at the Serie A summit when Sassuolo visit the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday evening.

As it stands, Max Allegri’s side find themselves second in the table – five points behind Inter – although the chasers have a game in hand on the leaders.

At the opposite end of the standings, Sassuolo occupy 14th place. Not only are they 27 points behind Juve, but they are also just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Juventus booked their place in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia with a 4-0 thrashing of Frosinone last time out, with Arkadiusz Milik netting a hat-trick.

Allegri’s men have now won each of their previous five matches across all competitions, scoring 15 goals while conceding just three.

When you look at the bigger picture, Juventus have avoided defeat in each of their last 16 games, picking up 13 wins and three draws along the way.

Having won seven of their previous eight home league games, the Old Lady will be confident of adding another victory to the Allianz Stadium tally on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Sassuolo claimed a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina last time out, despite registering 33% possession and a solitary attempt on target.

That triumph ended a six-game winless run for the Emilia-Romagna outfit, who suffered five defeats in six outings before getting the better of La Viola.

It is also worth noting that Sassuolo have managed to win just two of their previous 13 Serie A matches, recording four draws and seven losses in that time.

In terms of the entire season, the visitors have won two of their nine away league outings, recording two draws and five defeats in the process.

Head-to-head: Funnily enough, Juve’s sole Serie A defeat this season came against Sassuolo back in September, as the Emilia-Romagna outfit won 4-2 on home soil.

Across all competitions, both sides have won three of the previous six meetings, suggesting that Tuesday’s clash will be a close-fought battle.

Team news: Alex Sandro and Matteo De Sciglio are injured for the hosts, while there are question marks over the fitness of Federico Chiesa, Moise Kean and Adrien Rabiot.

As for the visitors, they could be without four players – Gregoire Defrel, Pedro Obiang, Uros Racic and Matias Vina – due to injury on Tuesday.

Regardless of Sassuolo’s impressive record against Juventus in recent times, Allegri’s men are expected to claim all three points on home soil.

Forebet predicts that Juventus and Sassuolo will combine for over 2.5 goals, with the hosts outscoring the visitors on this occasion.
