Bologna and Monza battle it out in Serie A this weekend with Forebet bringing to you the latest in statistics, analysis, data and mathematics to conclude the probability of winning this weekend.

The football predictions for this game heavily favour Bologna once more, as the club are heading for an extremely unlikely position in the European spots against the odds.

Still, after 31 games, the club sit ahead of Roma in fifth by three points, above Atalanta in sixth by eight points, ahead of the champions Napoli by 10 and also above Lazio in eighth by 12 points.

It makes this season one of the best in Bologna’s history, and they no doubt head into this game full of confidence with a current spot in the Champions League well within their own destiny.

The club did drop points in the previous game when they drew 0-0 to Frosinone, although they did manage to defeat Bologna 3-0 with a goal each from Riccardo Orsolini, Alexis Saelemakers and Charalampos Lykiogiannis.

The only defeat in recent times for the fourth-placed side was in a 1-0 loss at home to Inter Milan, but with victories away to Atalanta in Bergamo and Lazio in Rome, the data shows how excellent Bologna have been this season.

Bologna have also drawn with Monza already this season where just three shots on target landed for the home side alongside five for the away team.

Bologna did see Alexis Saelemaekers sent off that day away from home.

There is also still a chance they can catch Juventus in third of Serie A, but the Old Lady is in third and four points clear of them after winning two more games than Bologna's 16. On the other hand, they have also lost just five times but drawn 10 of the 31 games.

As for Monza, they will be more than pleased with their season as they are in 11th and above the bottom three by 18 points.

They are, however, behind the European spots by eight, but nevertheless, considering this is just their second season back in Serie A, is more than impressive.

The club managed to lose 4-2 at home to Napoli last time out with a finish each from Milan Duric and Andrea Colpani, as they lost to Torino 1-0 before this.

Monza did, however, get wins over Genoa and Cagliari but also lose to Roma in March as well.

Forebet predicts a win for Bologna and under 2.5 goals.
