Valencia won their last two La Liga fixtures, winning both matches by 1-0 scorelines. Will our score prediction algorithm predict another victory for Los Che when they face Real Betis at Mestalla?

Valencia are three points off sixth-place Real Sociedad. After a few seasons of poor results and battling relegation at various points in the campaign, Valencia have put together a strong mid-table term.

Real Betis will aim to end Valencia’s two-match winning streak. Los Verdiblancos are eighth in the standings and five points off Sociedad – two points behind Valencia in the table.

Unlike Valencia, Betis have not been in good form. Although they defeated Celta Vigo 2-1 last weekend, Real Betis had lost their previous four matches.

Los Verdiblancos took just six points from the last six games, scoring 10 goals and conceding 12 times. Betis do not score a lot of goals. They have tallied just 38 goals in 31 fixtures.

Betis’ last three matches on the road all ended in defeats. They conceded seven times in those three games.

Valencia took 11 points from the last six matches. Manager Ruben Baraja’s team scored a shockingly low five goals in those six matches.

Valencia’s defence has been the backbone of the team this season. They allowed just three goals across the last six games.

Los Che have conceded the third-lowest number of goals in the division after 31 games. Just 32 goals were conceded by Valencia, which is only behind Real Madrid’s 20 and Athletic Bilbao’s 29.

Despite their good current form, Valencia claimed just one win in their last six meetings with Real Betis. Indeed, Betis claimed a 3-0 win in the teams’ reverse fixture in October.

Assane Diao scored in the 41st minute to give Betis the lead. Marc Roca added a second goal in the 52nd minute. Abde Ezzalzouli put the game to bed with five minutes to play with a third goal.

Although Valencia do not score many goals, forward Hugo Duro leads the team in goal scoring stats with 12. If Valencia score goals, it is typically Duro that gets them. Duro has scored 35% of the team’s goals.

Real Betis’ top scorer is Willian Jose. He has 10 goals for the Sevilla-based club. Former Real Madrid midfielder Isco is second in goals with six.

This is a game between two teams in different form. Valencia are thriving and playing fantastic defence, while Betis won just one of their last five matches in La Liga.

Our score prediction is for a Valencia 2-0 win. Los Che should keep a third straight clean sheet. Betis, on the other hand, will lose a fourth straight road game.
