Can Aston Villa Get a Tighter Grip on 4th by Beating Bournemouth?
2117

Aston Villa play hosts to Bournemouth this weekend and Forebet has grouped together all the latest data, analysis, mathematics and trends for the Premier League’s football predictions and probability of winning.

Villa have had a sensational season and it is looking like being their best-ever Premier League campaign.

Things have been made even better for them this past week with a stunning 2-0 win away at Arsenal meaning Unai Emery has done the double against his old side.

Emery also led his side to a Europa Conference League victory over Lille in a dramatic penalty shootout where Emi Martinez - just as he did in the World Cup final - was the hero once more.

Martinez saved two penalties, although Leon Bailey did also miss one for Villa.

In the game, Matty Cash scored for Emery’s side, but Villa did lose 2-1 in regular time. They will now meet with Olimpiacos in the Europa Conference League semi-finals.

Back in the Premier League, the win over Arsenal keeps Villa three points clear of Tottenham Hotspur and in fourth place, although the latter does have a game in hand which could put them above Villa over time.

Villa's 2-0 win over Arsenal saw Ollie Watkins get another goal alongside a finish from Bailey too.

Watkins now has a fantastic tally of 26 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season, while Bailey has 13 goals and 11 assists and this also means Watkins is just one goal behind Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer in the race for the Golden Boot.

Bournemouth were unlucky to not get all three points against Manchester United last time out, as Dominic Solanke scored early on before Justin Kluivert also bagged.

United were then awarded a controversial penalty in the second half to earn them a point.

Bournemouth did also lose to Luton Town before this, but the Cherries are  still 17 points above the relegation zone and no doubt safe for another year after winning 11 games and losing 12.

The club have also managed to score 47 times and let in 57 goals too meaning they are on course to beat their goals scored and defensive record set last year.

This game ended in a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture with Bailey and Watkins scoring once again for their side. Antoine Semenyo bagged for Bournemouth that day too, as did Solanke once more.

Forebet now predicts a win for Villa and over 2.5 goals in the game.
