Botafogo and Fluminense carry on their Brazilian Serie A action this weekend where Forebet has more of the latest stats, analysis, trends and the probability of a win in these midweek games.
Botafogo are having another excellent campaign so far, and although it is still in the early stages, they are once again aiming to fight for another Brazilian Serie A title.
The club head into this game after winning four of the first seven games and scoring the most goals so far in the league with 13 racked up.
Botafogo also come into this match off the back of beating Corinthians 1-0, as Junior Santos scored the game's only goal in the second half of the match.
Before this, the club were in Copa Libertadores action where Junior managed to hold them to a 0-0 draw, despite Diego Hernandez getting sent off for a straight red card for Botafogo. They did, however, see no shots on target in that game.
Botafogo also managed to get into the next round of the Copa do Brasil not too long ago, as Luiz Henrique scored once more, alongside another finish from Vitoria.
There are two losses on the board so far for Botafogo in the Brazilian Serie A, one of them being around a month ago against Bahia - Jeffinho scored for the club that day.
The other defeat for them saw Cruzeiro edge out a 3-2 win. Tiquinho Soares and Danilo Barbosa de Silva scored for Botafogo in that game, as Alexander Barboza received a red card too.
With this being the only defeat alongside one to Bahia, this does now mean Botafogo are third in the table and only adrift of Flamengo by one point in first place and also behind Bahia in second place by a point as well.
As for Fluminense, it's been a tough ride for them so far after the first seven games. They are currently above the drop zone by one point and also behind the copa Sudamericana group stage places in the league by three points already.
They have put together a winning run recently and actually haven't suffered a loss since mid-May where Sao Paulo managed to defeat them 2-1.
Since then, the club have gone on to defeat Cerro Porteno 2-1 in the Copa Libertadores group stage, before then doing the same in that competition by defeating Alianza Lima.
