Real Madrid to record a narrow win over Leganes
Real Madrid vs CD Leganes - 30/10/2019
2940
Spanish giants Real Madrid have experienced a rather strange campaign so far. Los Blancos looked set for a good league campaign, as they were the early league leaders.
However, Zinedine Zidane’s team have slipped to sixth place in La Liga after a slightly inconsistent run of form in recent games. The team from the Spanish capital does have games in hand on most of their top-six rivals, though.
Los Blancos have the chance to bounce back to winning ways when they host Leganes on Wednesday night at the Bernabeu.
The aforementioned inconsistent recent run of league form includes a shock 1-0 defeat at Real Mallorca last time out in La Liga. However, Zidane’s team will be confident of bouncing straight back against a team they have beaten in seven of the last nine meetings.
Real Madrid’s home form has been good so far this season in the Spanish top-flight, as they are unbeaten in four outings, having recorded three straight wins. An eye for goal has been crucial in those recent home wins, as they have scored at least twice in all three of those winning home matches.
Leganes are currently rock-bottom of La Liga having taken just five points from their ten league matches so far this season.
The visitors had failed to win in their first nine La Liga outings prior to a 1-0 victory over Mallorca last time out.
The win will no doubt renew belief that the minnows can get off the bottom of the Spanish top-flight table and escape the drop zone. However, their poor recent away record in La Liga does not bode well for a win at the Bernabeu, as they have lost four of their last five league matches on their travels.
The home sides morale is no doubt fragile after the defeat against Mallorca. However, Forebet predicts that Zidane’s team will record a narrow win a high-scoring encounter in the capital.
