Manchester City are on a two-match Premier League losing streak ahead of Saturday’s home match against Brighton at the Etihad Stadium.

The Cityzens are two points off first-place Tottenham Hotspur.

Brighton are sixth in the league ahead of round No. 9. The Seagulls are four points off first place.

Roberto De Zerbi’s team went winless in their last two league matches, picking up just one point from six points on offer.

City posted a record of 4W-1D-1L in their last six matches versus Brighton.

Last season, Manchester City won 3-1 against Brighton at the Etihad Stadium before drawing 1-1 at the Amex Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s team outscored Brighton 14-6 in their last six head-to-head encounters. The teams combined for 23 yellow cards and one red card.

Manchester City claimed three wins from three matches at the Etihad Stadium this season.

The defence conceded just one goal in their three home matches. The attack, on the other hand, scored eight times.

Brighton won two and lost one of three matches away from the Amex Stadium this season.

The team conceded eight goals and scored eight times on the road. Brighton’s last away Premier League match saw them lose 6-1 to Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Erling Haaland isn’t tallying many shots this season, but the striker leads the Premier League in goals with eight.

He scored 47% of Manchester City’s goals. City averaged 61.1% possession in league matches.

Guardiola saw two players on the injury list going into the match on Saturday. Kevin De Bruyne is still out of action with a thigh injury.

Guardiola is about to get a massive boost, as midfielder Rodri will return after missing the last two matches due to a red card. Rodri’s absence was a major part of the team’s struggles.

De Zerbi could have up to six players missing from the squad. Julio Enciso is out of action with a knee injury until November. Left-back Pervis Estupian is ruled out with a thigh injury.

Midfielder James Milner could return from an injury for the match. Right-back Tariq Lamptey could also return from an injury to the team.

Kaoru Mitoma is recovering from an illness and could make the bench. Jakub Moder is ruled out following a knee injury.

City should continue their good form against Brighton and end their two-match league losing streak. Manchester City should win 3-1 at home. Haaland could get on the scoresheet.
