Paraguay and Brazil Seek Their First Win of Group D at Copa America

Brazil have not had the best start to life at this Copa America, despite being one of the favourites to win. The five-time world champions met with Costa Rica and were denied throughout the entire games, although the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo started the game.
It was a strong Brazil lineup in that match, as Lucas Paqueta, Raphina and Bruno Guimaraes all started too, as did Eder Militao and Marquinhos in the defence.

With Brazil drawing in their first game and now seeking a win in order to get into first place of Group D, Paraguay must win this one if they are to have any chance of getting into the knockout phases after they lost their first outing.
Colombia managed to edge past them on matrchday one, as Daniel Munoz and Jefferson Lerma scored first half goals for them.
As for the Paraguay goal, Julio Enciso netted in the second half of a game that saw the nation have three shots on target and 11 efforts towards goal and just 32% of the ball.
Paraguay also struggled in their warm up fixtures, as they managed to narrowly beat Panama 1-0 and also lose to Chile in a 3-0 hammering. Against Panama, Gustavo Velazquez scored Paraguay’s goal.
